Experience and Expertise

We are a research oriented company specialising in the future of aviation, travel and tourism.  Our staff understands markets and the management challenges confronting companies that serve these markets.

We have helped airlines and transport companies, airports, accommodation providers and destination agencies in:

Q      thinking about the future

Q     forecast development

Q     business model development

Q     scenarios (or futures) that they might confront, and

Q     strategy development.

Tourism Futures International has developed a range of databases and tools to assist in these processes.  TFI maintains comprehensive databases covering many areas of tourism, airline and freight activity.  The TFI database of visitor arrivals into, and resident departures from, the Asia Pacific region, enables the timely publication of regional tables showing latest available data on visitor arrivals by country of origin for fifteen Asia Pacific countries and resident departures by country of destination for six of these countries.

TFI’s Market Simulator allows us to look at the key “drivers” of outbound travel and the implications of change for the tourism industry.  The TFI Market Simulator provides a link between outbound and destination markets.

TFI publishes the Asia Pacific, Australasian and Tourism Analysts which are distributed through the World Wide Web to major airlines, tourism authorities, hotels and tourism operators in the region.  These publications report on performance, trends and forecasts in key Asia Pacific tourism generating markets and destination regions.

TFI also undertakes consulting in a number of areas:

Ø      Airport and airline business planning and forecasting.

Ø      Tourist destination planning, forecasting and strategy development.

Ø      Strategic assessments, planning and the establishment of strategic management systems for airlines, airports, hotels and tourism operations.
